Letters to my son.

One principle at a time, written while he is too young to read them.

Why these exist

My son was born in 2024. These letters are the things I want him to know about how I try to live: taking ownership, doing whatever you set your mind to, grit, and what to do with your time. I write them now, while he is small, so they exist whatever happens.

Each letter is written to him. At the end of each one there is a short note for other fathers, because the lesson is rarely only his. Some letters are only for him. Those are not here.

There is a birthday letter every year and a principle letter whenever one is ready. Read them in order.

For other fathers.

If one of these helps you say something to your own child, it has done its job. The rest of what I write about leading a team and using AI is on the blog.
